Learning outcome 3 (U20): Be able to produce the planned media components. Explain how the created media components comply with the codes and conventions of the media sectors (U20 M3)  Demonstrate how the technical and aesthetic properties of the media components meet the client brief (U20 D2). The client brief asked for an advertising campaign featuring a billboard, magazine, video and social media advert for a new fizzy drink - Phizzwizzard. Source: Google  For our video advert, we got inspiration from Back To The Future's iconic character, Dr Brown, because of his chaotic approach to science, as well as his crazy, white hair. We decided to twist the character to fit our vision of what we wanted the final product to look like, in the hopes that people would be drawn to watch the advert because of its light hearted humour. Similarly, creating a loveable character makes it easier for audiences to like him, and decreases any chance of our audiences hating ...

Learning outcome 3 (U20): Be able to produce the planned media components. Create production materials to be used in the original media product (U20 P4) For the Phizzwizzard advertising campaign we made three adverts; a billboard advert, magazine advert, and a video advert. We did this to ensure we had a variety of methods that we could in order to successfully target our potential audiences. This choice of wording makes sure that the flavour of the drink stands out the most to readers, and sticks in their minds as what they remember the most about the advert. Similarly, the slogan is also catchy and easy to remember. Billboard: Audience feedback: For our billboard it stands out because of the bright colours and bold fonts, making it easier for people to notice, and easier for people to reme...

Planning the adverts (U20: P2,P3, M2, D1)

Learning Outcome 2 (U20) Be able to plan a cross media advertising campaign to a client brief. (P2 U20) Create a plan for a cross media advertising campaign in response to a client brief  (Completed as part of a group with Matti)  Plan for video: For our video we had the idea to use the theme of crazy science. Telling a story using a scientist as the main protagonist to promote the sale of Phizzwizzard. We thought this lighthearted approach would humour our target audiences, as our retro target audience are 30-somethings who supposedly grew up watching Back To The Future and so will find the video reminiscent. Similarly, our major audience are 13-18 and so they will find the style of our video funny and appealing. If our major audience find the video appealing they will be more likely to share the video on different social media platforms. The video will begin with our actor walking down an empty school hallway and into a science lab. As the scientist enters the scien...
